Litter Prevention

No matter where litter starts, it travels from streets and parking lots directly into our local streams and lakes. Litter is a problem for all of us. It is unsafe as well as unsightly. Help keep our community clean, and remember litter preventation is everyone's responsbility.

What can you do to help?

Never throw trash on the ground.
Hold onto it until you get to a trash can.
Never throw anything out of a vehicle.
Keep a litter bag in your vehicle at all times to place trash in.
Securely cover open loads on all trucks.
Participate in a volunteer cleanup program in your community.
